How WEALTHY AFFILIATE Works
You begin your Journey with Wealthy Affiliate (often referred to as “WA” ) as a Starter Member by setting up your account, which includes your Profile Page, where you introduce yourself to the Wealthy Affiliate Community by providing as much or as little information as you feel comfortable with–you can edit at any time.
Membership
Oh yes, the Community…Wealthy Affiliate is a global community…since its beginning, over 2.6 million members have joined Wealthy Affiliate. Currently there are over 400,000 active Members, more joining every day.
You will select Members to include in your Network…when the members that you Follow contribute to Wealthy Affiliate, you will be informed by email–those that Follow you will be notified when you contribute.
You then begin your Training.
Training Quality Section
The Training provided by WA is arguably among the best in the world. There are two courses, the Core Certification Course and Affiliate Bootcamp, with multiple classes in each.
There are training videos/blogs by one of the co-founders, Kyle, and Jay, in addition to the training provided by a multitude of member experts…you have access to elite SEO training, along with classes and access to experts that will personally help you with your traffic campaigns.
Members can ask for specific help via a “question” section, as well as via the “live” chat function.
Website
You don’t have a website? You can get/create a free one with your Starter Membership, with a domain of your choosing.
Don’t know how to do that? WA will teach/train you how to do that…NO EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED. Or a credit card either, to begin as a Starter Member. As a Starter Member, you will have 7 days to experience Wealthy Affiliate and decide if it right for you. If it is, you will progress to the Premium Level. If not, you can remain a Starter Member, but with restrictions and less capability.
In Wealthy Affiliate you will have video classes walking you through the niche selection process along with direct help from all of us in the community (and Kyle himself) who can give you feedback on your niche.
At this point, you select a “niche” or subject, for your website.
Mentorship/Support
Mentorship is provided by not only the co-founders, Kyle and Carson, but also by Site Support, a number of experienced “expert” members, as well as any member that has the answer to a question when asked.
Information is shared by members wanting to help others to be successful. And there are some VERY successful members in WA.
Rember that Network of Followers I mentioned in Membership, above? This is where they come in…ask questions and they will be answered.
Website Hosting
Along with Jaaxy (not available to Starter members), the keyword research tool, Site Builder and site content editor are also tools that are used to create a website.
The websites are built in WordPress (over 43% of all websites on the internet are built in WordPress) and Hosted on WA servers (Server Class Amazon c4.large).
With WordPress, there are thousands of free themes you can choose from, drag & drop page builders to create your own unique design, or you can use any free or premium theme.
In the official WordPress repository alone, you’ll find over 60,000 free plugins that can add all sorts of features to your website. Think of plugins like apps in your iPhone except they’re for your websites.
Pricing
There are three levels of pricing:
Starter Member (FREE)—Since you don’t need a credit card to begin for FREE as a Starter Member, I recommend beginning your experience with Wealthy Affiliate here. Kick the tires, play with the radio, look under the hood, take it for a spin around the block…see if it is right for YOU!
Premium $49 per month or $497 annually—when you are ready to move forward, Premium is the next step. You will be given the “keys to the car”, with a full tank of gas. Here begins your full access to website creation and development, the two training courses, JAAXY (the Keyword tool), and Private Messaging within the WA Community (including the owners, Kyle and Carson!!!). Some might consider $49 a bit pricey, but for what you get, you won’t find anything as good or better.
Premium Plus $99 per month or $697 annually—meant for more advanced members, but not restricted—anyone can move up when ready!!!
Conclusion
My recommendation, if you are at all interested, is to join Wealthy Affiliate as a Free Starter Member. You then will gain insight into the vast possibilities that await you–then, when YOU are ready, you can move on to Premium Membership (and beyond?).
